Waxing can be scary. Let's tame that with a little knowledge about what to expect and how to prepare and care for your skin before and after waxing.
Before
Allow 2.5 - 3 weeks of hair growth before waxing.
Avoid topical prescriptions for 72 hours
If desired, take pain reliever 30-40 minutes prior to the appointment
Avoid alcohol / stimulants
No tanning 72 hours prior to appointment
Take warm shower and gently exfoliate
Come to appointment with clean and dry skin (no oils or lotions)
After
No tanning for 72 hours
Avoid heat such as hot showers / baths, heavy exercise, and swimming for 48 hours
Exfoliation recommended

How long should hair be to wax? ¼ inch, or similar to a grain of rice.
How should I prepare for my wax? Gently exfoliate a few days (2 - 3) prior, for facial waxing discontinue use of retinol or other topicals that will cause the skin to be increasingly sensitive.
What is the recommended aftercare for waxing? Continue to gently exfoliate regularly, don’t use soaps with sulfates as they will coat the skin, don’t shave between appointments; for 24 hours, we recommend not doing anything that will cause excessive sweating like working out or using steam rooms.
