Meet the Staff
The waxing professionals at Velvet Waxing Studio consider themselves the best of the best in field of waxing, bringing together nearly 70 years of experience. The team specializes in Brazilian and brow waxing and use high-quality soft and hard waxes. Megan, Maryna and Tracy crossed paths while working at a local Spa and Salon. They soon came to the realization that Madison needed its own specialty waxing studio—and that's how Velvet Waxing Studio was born.
Whether you are a first time waxer or veteran, you can rely on the expert hands of Megan, Maryna, Tracy, Kylene, Taj, Pam, Robyn and Brittany.
Megan — Owner/Esthetician
Megan was formerly the waxing specialist at Cameo Spa Salon. She is happy to be realizing her dream of opening the first waxing studio in Madison. Megan loves to see her clients leaving confident and sexy.
Megan grew up in Wisconsin and lives in Madison. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her little boy, vacationing in the tropics and cooking.
Maryna — Owner/Esthetician
Maryna began her career in Russia. She specializes in hard waxing. Maryna feels that waxing as an awesome alternative to shaving as it saves time and makes your skin velvety smooth. She also believes that a great home care regimen is the best policy for vibrant, young-looking skin.
Maryna lives in downtown Madison. When she's not at Velvet, she enjoys spending time with friends and traveling.
Tracy — Owner/Esthetician
Tracy brings a wealth of experience to Velvet. She has provided waxing, facial and make up services for Katherine Heigl of Grey's Anatomy while Katherine was in Madison working on an Independent Film. Tracy’s favorite services are brow designs and all types of bikini waxing. She loves being a part of helping women of all ages and shapes to feel beautiful and confident.
Tracy lives just outside of Madison and enjoys watching her daughter participate in sports and 4-H. Her hobbies include riding her bike, (yes,with a basket on the front), reading, and baking delicious pastries.
Kylene — Esthetician
Kylene is an expert in skin treatments, waxing, and special occasion makeup. Her career began in Milwaukee at Neroli Salon and Spa, where she also worked as an esthetics instructor. Kylene believes that finding the right person to do your waxing is essential—someone who is passionate and experienced. She also believes that a professional brow wax can give you an instant face lift.
Kylene lives in Madison and loves horses, yoga and waterskiing. In the summer, she enjoys the Northwoods of Wisconsin with her family.
taj — Esthetician
Taj studied at the Aveda Institute and is passionate about providing her clients with exceptional service. One of the things she likes most about her work is educating clients on skin care. She loves doing all types of waxing services and is particularly well practiced in the use of the various kinds of hard wax.
A resident of Madison’s Eastside, Taj enjoys baking, traveling, photography and spending time with friends, family and her dog, Stella.
pam — Esthetician
Pamela met Tracy, Megan and Maryna over eight years ago while working at Cameo. Working at Velvet now feels like the perfect fit. Pam loves to help her clients feel comfortable and at ease about waxing.
When not at Velvet, Pam and her husband Carl own Legendary Antiques in Lake Mills. She enjoys going to auctions and estate sales and then repurposing her finds in spectacular new ways.
Robyn — Esthetician
Robyn recently moved to Madison from Minnesota, where she had worked in a day spa providing facials, waxing, and make-up applications. Her favorite things are helping clients experience relaxation and providing education for home care. She loves making guests feel comfortable and beautiful in their own skin.
While she has free time, she enjoys practicing her ukulele, hula-hooping, spending time with her friends and cat, Frieda.
Brittany — Esthetician
Brittany brings experience in both waxing and make-up. She has worked as an airbrush makeup artist with famous Jos Brands of Kryolan. Brittany showcased her makeup talent in a fashion show for the RAW Natural Born Artists : Madison Event . She likes the fact that waxing gives her clients freedom from daily shaving, and she loves making clients feel beautiful. Brittany works hard to make clients feel at ease. When Brittany isn’t at work, she enjoys live music, thrift stores and hanging out with her dog.
